L’Office du Jèrriais has circulated posters to Jersey schools as part of the celebrations of World Book Day, but for those in Town on Thursday morning rather than in school, there will be a Jèrriais literary event in the Société Jersiaise’s courtyard in Pier Road between 10.30-11am. Geraint Jennings of L’Office du Jèrriais, editor of the anthology “The Toad and the Donkey” and translator of “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” and “Through the Looking-Glass” and author of other books, will be available to discuss some of the books published over the years in Jèrriais and will be performing some readings. All are welcome to drop by.
Jèrriais books are on sale, not just on World Book Day but every working day, at the Société Jersiaise bookshop in Pier Road and online.
