La Fête Nouormande 2014 – events open to the public
(during the week) book display; Norman Market at Weighbridge
- Monday 9 June Launch of poetry reader for children “Eune pouch’tee d’poesies” with readings (à La Société Jersiaise 6pm)
- Tuesday 10 June Doque – traditional Jersey throwing game (at pétanque pitch in Parade Gardens) – 6pm; followed by a meal in a Town restaurant (those wishing to come along to the meal, please provide names to L’Office du Jèrriais)
- Wednesday 11 June Walkabout Town quiz – meet in Royal Square 6pm and walk around to find the answers on the quiz sheet – answers to be checked in pub later
- Thursday 12 June Visit to La Robeline distillery and cider production 7pm (free, but space limited: those wishing to come along, please provide names to L’Office du Jèrriais)
- Friday 13 June Queen’s Birthday at Government House – costumed participants (6pm); meal for Fête participants at All Saints Church Hall: 8pm – limited tickets available for sale
Saturday 14 June – morning
9.30-11: free programme of dancing, music, poetry and prose in the Town Hall
11.15: Town Parade (leaving Town Hall heading to Weighbridge) – costumes and flags
Saturday 14 June – afternoon:
6pm Meal for participants (All Saints) – limited tickets available for sale
Saturday 14 June – evening:
8pm-9.30 free concert by Badlabecques – toe-tapping songs traditional and otherwise, and some dancing to familiar tunes with a Badlabecques twist and shout

10h free Town centre guided historical/cultural tour starting from the Town Hall:
11h30 Service in Jèrriais in the Chapel of the Hospital
1h Meal for participants (All Saints) – limited tickets available for sale
3pm-4.30pm free informal programme of dancing, music, poetry and prose in the Town Hall
