During last week’s linguistic exchange in Jersey, we asked a Welsh-speaker, a Manx Gaelic-speaker, and a Jèrriais-speaker to demonstrate their languages. Each speaker chose a culturally-significant phrase which has some national meaning.
- Traa dy liooar – time enough
- Cymru am byth – Wales forever
- Man bieau p’tit Jèrri – My beautiful little Jersey
Thanks to Erin, Mari, and Geraint (who’s not the Welsh one!) for the contributions!
