On Tuesday, there was a get-together at La Société Jersiaise between a visiting party of Northern Frisian-speakers and some Jèrriais speakers. There was a presentation on Jèrriais and some Jèrriais literature, and discussion of minority-language issues. Frisian is a Germanic language closely related to English: Nordfriisk Instituut.
